I first met Kellie & Kevin over skype during their lunch break. They seemed like a cool, laid back couple. They told me they were getting married at Ariel International Center, a venue that’s been on my bucket list for a while – I’m a sucker for rooftops. Fast forward several months, I learn a little bit more about them during our planning meeting and they invite me to a walk thru at the venue so we could officially meet before the wedding. (They live in Raleigh but both have Cleveland roots.) A few days later, it’s the big day. I show up to Kellie’s hotel room to photograph her getting ready. That’s when I started to realize just how cool this girl is. As the day progresses I learn that Kellie, Kevin & I have a ton in common. For starters one of their favorite bands is The Avett Brothers, part of their wedding meal included a taco bar, Ariel has a rooftop, and they hired DJ Goodwin- King and Queen of killer non-wedding music. I only wished they didn’t live in Raleigh because if they lived in Cleveland we would totally hang out all the time and eat tacos. 🙂 So that’s my love affair with Kellie & Kevin. I’m so happy that this cool, laid back couple turned out to be super awesome. Here, Kellie is singing and dancing to “Push It” while getting in her dress. My kind of girl.
The tacos were delicious by the way.
Sunset photos on the rooftop, swooon.
Their first dance song is so sweet 🙂
