If you have an intimate wedding I will be all about it. (It will also be my choice for my imaginary wedding.) So when Kathy first met with me about her wedding and said she wanted to keep the guest list to 30 people I was in. Plot twist: she also wanted to have a bigger reception the following weekend with her and Gordie’s families. I was also in for that, of course. I always love seeing family members again even if it’s just the following weekend. A rapport is already built and they are happy to see you! (As I am them!)
Kathy & Gordie had their ceremony at St. Hilary in Fairlawn. We then headed to Gervasi Vineyard for their portraits and the intimate reception at the Bistro. I loved the vibe at the Bistro. They were tucked in a cozy room and ate at (mostly) one long table. After we took some sunset photos I headed to Swenson’s for my favorite Akron/Canton meal 🙂
The following weekend I met Kathy & Gordie at Happy Days Lodge in Peninsula for their larger reception with the rest of their family and friends. It was a big party filled with delicious food from Old Carolina BBQ and Handel’s Ice Cream. We took some portraits with the furniture from Borrow and I called it a night!
K&G- So happy to have spent two weekends with you guys. Thanks for being so kind, it was a pleasure to work with you two!
